There are so many restaurants in Bedok that we might get overwhelmed. If you want to try Japanese food, here are some things for you to take note of when choosing a restaurant. The price range, of course, no one wants an expensive meal! Price can be based on the type of dish or ingredients used. So you may want to consider the options on a per dish basis. The presentation is not just about how it looks like but also what’s placed in front of you! If there are many dishes, do they look small? Sometimes Japanese restaurants will serve small portions for you to share among friends or family members as part of their concept. If you don’t like the taste of a particular dish, it really doesn’t matter if it’s cheap or expensive. You might as well try another one in which case there is no point getting an expensive meal! Also consider how familiar are you with Japanese food? As mentioned before, some dishes may not be for everyone. The most popular dishes in Japanese restaurants are sushi, sashimi and tempura. But there are many more types of dishes if you want something different so don’t get stuck with those three options alone. In fact, even some Japanese would not eat certain dishes because they find them too plain. This is a very subjective factor but I think it’s something you should consider especially if the restaurant has good reviews. If there are other customers eating at the same time as you, perhaps that could mean something too?
